Can a seven and nine year old go on rides without their parent who doesn't like rides?

    Hi Kristen!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a fun trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your family! Guests who are under 7 years old need to ride attractions with someone over 14 years old, but Guests who are 7 years old and over can enjoy attractions by themselves. So kids who are 7 years old and 9 years old are free to enjoy attractions on their own. Keep in mind that Guests under 14 years old must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years old or over to enter the theme park.

So if a family enters the theme park together and the parents aren't interested in enjoying an attraction, the 7 year old and 9 year old kids could enjoy the attraction on their own and meet up with their parents after the ride.

Please let us know if you have other questions as you continue planning! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
