Welcome back to planDisney, Robert! We're thrilled that you sent us another great question!
My adult son forgot his
MagicBand at home during our most recent trip, but luckily a Cast Member at our Disney Resort hotel showed him how to set up
Disney MagicMobile through the Wallet app on his phone. He was able to use it to enter the theme parks and to gain access to the
Genie+ attraction Lightning Lanes. It worked so well that I think he now prefers it to wearing a MagicBand on his wrist- no tan lines! If you have younger Mouseketeers, you can manage your children's tickets on your device (however, Disney recommends that everyone have their own device if they are able to). Check out the
Disney Parks Blog article explaining the features.
If you stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can request a Key to the World card by stopping at the front desk. If you aren't staying on Disney property, you are more than welcome to pick up admission cards at any of the Theme Parks. Since you are less likely to have tech issues with the cards, they are a good backup if you use MagicMobile. You'll need your confirmation email, your original picture ID (unfortunately, no photocopies are accepted), and the card you made the original purchase with. Only the guest who
purchased the tickets will need to show their ID, and you'll just need to show it on the first day. If you have any questions, call 0800 028 0778 (UK).
The planDisney Panel hopes you have a practically perfect holiday, Robert! If you need any more planning tips or advice, please feel free to write us back. See ya real soon!
