We will be setting sail on the Dream June 2012. I have a 14 yo daughter and a 10 yo son (he will actually be 10 1/2). I am concerned he is really too mature to be with 3 year olds..would he be allowed to go to the club for 11-13 year olds?

    Hi Lisa,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip!  The Disney Dream is a stunning ship, and I know that you'll be having the time of your life.

I completely understand what your concern is.  I think it's a huge age gap, but in all honesty, my children have been in that exact situation in the youth clubs and have never had a problem.  The youth counselors split the kids up in to age groups for most activities plus there is a lot of excellent supervision offered in the clubs.

You can always go to Edge, the club for 11-13 year olds and explain the concerns to the counselors there.  Let them know how close he is to his 11th birthday.  I'm pretty sure they won't have a problem letting him participate.

I hope you have a magical sailing Lisa!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
