I am setting up My friends and family list. I would like to add my 2 grandkids to the list but when I try it comes up that they are managed by someone else. (their Dad) What has to be done so that they are managed by me only?

    Hiya, Donald!

Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I am so excited to hear you are planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort next year. Planning a trip with your grandchildren sounds like an amazing way to make magical memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. I am sad to report that My Disney Experience accounts created for children under the age of 13 cannot be transferred to another person to manage. But Hakuna Matata, friend! You still have planning options when it comes to having the best trip ever with your grandchildren.

Before you arrive I recommend linking your account to the accounts of your grandchildren. While you cannot transfer their accounts to another adult, you can still plan together. Once you have linked your accounts you will be able to create dining reservations together, make Disney Park Pass reservations, and even reserve virtual queues and Lightning Lane entrances on their behalf. You can even assign theme park tickets to their account. Linking your accounts can be done in a few easy steps, and you will be back to planning in no time at all. Start by logging in to your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website. Select the My Family & Friends option from the drop-down menu. Select the Add a Guest option at the bottom of the screen. If you are already connected to the Guest that manages their account, in this case, their Dad, you should be able to find their accounts through the Find through my connected Guests option. Select the profiles of your grandchildren and click Done at the bottom of the screen. Once the request has been approved by their Dad, you will be able to make plans on their behalf.

If you are not connected to their Dad's My Disney Experience account, select Add a Guest and choose the I'll enter their name and age option. Then click Invite this Guest to connect. An email will be sent to their Dad so you can link your accounts. After this step is complete you will be able to follow the previous steps to link to your grandchildren!

I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
