Welcome to planDisney, Brittany! Just as Jiminy Cricket guided Pinocchio, hEAR at planDisney we are happy to serve as your guide to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Brittany, while there is no longer the option of a vacation account that allows you to save money in anticipation of a trip, I'm hoping I can offer up a few suggestions that will have you smiling from ear to EAR in no time!
First, guests booking
a vacation package (meaning your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay and theme park tickets) have the option to
secure their reservation with a deposit and then pay the remainder over time. My family and I have done this in the past and have appreciated not needing to pay for the entire trip at the time of booking. If you choose this option, keep in mind that your final payment is due 30 days before your arrival.
Brittany, if you're hoping to save a little bit more
before booking or you only need to purchase theme park tickets, I suggest creating your own savings plan using
Disney Gift Cards. As my Walt Disney World Resort vacations are almost always planned a year in advance, we have plenty of time to purchase Disney Gift Cards. I love this option because Disney Gift Cards can be used to pay for your vacation package, tickets, dining and much more! Read
THIS question and answer by my pal and fellow panelist, Jonathan, that provides a bit more information about Disney Gift Cards.
Brittany, I hope this helps jump start your planning journey. If you have additional questions don't hesitate to come on back to planDisney. Wishing you a trip full of Fantasy.
