    How do I set up my sons iphone app? Does he sign in using a different account or should he just sign in using mine? To complicate things - our account seems to have my husband as the primary holder - so should my son and daughter sign in as him?

    Hello Catherine, and welcome to planDisney!

    I appreciate you stopping by with your important planning question. My Disney Experience is the ultimate vacation planning tool, whether you are using a computer or the mobile app, it is essential in keeping everyone in the loop with your vacation plans. 

    I am the primary planner in my family, which means I am either sharing plans with My Family & Friends or I manage all the plans for those who do not have or manage their own My Disney Experience accounts. I am always afraid to share my account credentials with family members because they may accidentally delete or cancel important reservations. I would recommend that you and your kids if they are over the age of 13, download the My Disney Experience Mobile app to your iPhones or smartphone devices and then create your own My Disney Experience accounts. Once you have created your accounts, you will need to connect them to the information your husband has stored in the accounts he manages for each of you. 

    To connect to him using the My Disney Experience Mobile app, open the app and tap the more icon in the lower right corner [3 horizontal lines]. Scroll down to My Profile and then choose Show My Linking Code. Next, your son, your daughter, and yourself need to open your app and select My  Profile and then choose the Family & Friends List tab in the top right corner. Scroll to the bottom of your list and choose +Add a Guest. Select Scan their linking code and hold your phone over to scan his code. All of you will now have the option to link the profile that he has created for you to your new account. You can also enter the code manually to begin the linking process. After you have completed this process, all the information contained in the accounts your husband was managing, will automagically migrate over to your new accounts on your app. This will include any tickets, park pass reservations, and even previously assigned MagicBands will now be linked to your account. 

    You will also want to make sure that you are also linked to both of your children as well, you can show your linking code to them so you can plan with them. This will come in handy if you are planning to use Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane during your visit to a theme park. If you are Guests of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, one of you can book the Individual Lightning Lane experiences with the other is booking Genie+ reservations at 7:00 AM. Some of the popular experiences book up fast, so you can work together to create the perfect Disney day with the benefit of all that cosmic power in the palm of your hand.
