Ahoy again, Raina!
Welcome back to planDisney—I’m thrilled to see your name pop up again! And let me just say, you are clearly someone after my Disney-loving heart—sailing on
the brand-new Disney Destiny with a Heroes and Villains theme? That’s the kind of epic adventure where even Maleficent might crack a smile. Between all the bold new experiences on board and the chance to spot favorites like Cruella and Loki, your 4-night cruise is shaping up to be nothing short of legendary.
Now let’s talk about something a little more zen than villainous: the Rainforest room at
Senses Spa. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned spa-goer, it’s one of those experiences that feels like it was dreamed up by Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather themselves—pure magic wrapped in tranquility.
As of now, we’re still waiting for the full details on pricing and offerings for the Destiny’s version of the Rainforest room, but based on what we’ve seen on her sister ships, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, I expect something similarly spa-tacular. Currently, day passes tend to hover around $79 per person, while a pass for the full 4-night sailing is $239. That full-sailing option is usually available to book when
your onboard activities window opens (depending on Castaway Club level), but day passes are typically only available once you’re onboard, so make a beeline to Senses Spa once you embark to check availability. These passes are limited, and trust me—they can go faster than Lightning McQueen.
So what’s included in this tropical escape? Picture this: heated stone loungers, aromatherapy steam rooms, a dry sauna, soothing rain-style showers, bubbling whirlpool spas, and even shaded open-air spaces where you can soak in serenity (and vitamin D). It’s a blend of indoor and outdoor bliss, and the Destiny will likely carry on the tradition of incorporating natural elements into the design—think calming woods, flowing water features, and lighting that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a scene from Pocahontas (minus the raccoon antics).
Now, is it worth it? That depends on your cruise style. If your itinerary is packed with character meet-and-greets, Broadway-style shows,
Port Adventures, and evening snacks on the pool deck, you might find it tough to squeeze in some downtime. But if your sailing is more Hakuna Matata and less “I schedule like I’m running Star Command,” then the Rainforest room can be the ultimate escape. Even just an hour each evening unwinding in a bubbling spa or laying back on a heated lounger can turn a great day into an unforgettable one.
Personally, I’ve found that a stop in the Rainforest room at the end of a sea day is the perfect way to unwind. It’s like letting Elsa sing you into a state of pure relaxation. Just be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for spa hours—most nights it closes around 10 PM, so plan your pampering accordingly.
I hope this helps you feel a little more “in the know” as you prepare to set sail on the Destiny. No matter which side of the spa fence you fall on, one thing’s for sure—magic, memories, and maybe a little mischief await you aboard this spectacular new ship!
Sea ya real soon with a July full of fireworks at sea and memories that sparkle like pixie dust,
Dustin
