Hi, Jessica!
Thank you for contacting planDisney. I am excited that you are sailing on your first Disney Cruise! I hope you love it! With fun activities, fantastic entertainment, and tasty meals, sailing on a Disney Cruise is one of my family's favorite ways to vacation together.
Keeping your clothing organized is helpful when staying in a Disney Cruise Line stateroom. Fortunately, there is plenty of closet space! You are correct that over-the-door hanging organizers and over-the-door hooks are included in the
List of Prohibited Items. I chatted with Cast Member Kacey who said that hanging toiletry bags inside the bathroom are permitted at this time. Additionally, hanging shelves in the closet are acceptable as long as they are built with hangers (and hang down that way). Guests cannot bring organizers that need to be stuck to the wall via suction cups or command strips.
Have you downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app yet? My kids love checking out the adorable countdown until our next cruise in the app.
Port Adventures and
Onboard Activities can also be reserved in the app during your
booking window. Moreover, the app is helpful when onboard your cruise. It has a variety of information, such as entertainment schedules,
rotational dining information, and an onboard chat feature.
Jessica, enjoy your voyage, and don't forget to book the
Disney Cruise Line Onboard-Only Offer while on your cruise! It allows you to book a select future cruise at a discounted rate!
Happy sailing!
Jen
