We are set to sail on the Dream on Jan 2nd. Will the holiday decorations onboard and at Castaway Cay still be up?

    Ahoy, Carrie!

It's less than a week until you'll be stepping aboard the gorgeous Disney Dream for your magical Disney Cruise vacation, can you believe it? I'm sure you've been busy packing and taking care of last minute details before you depart!

A few years ago, we surprised our girls with a post-Christmas cruise that sailed a few days after Christmas. I was sad we would "just miss" seeing the Christmas decorations, but was excited to discover that the ship was still decorated when we set sail. We were on the ship through New Year's, and disembarked on January 3rd. Immediately following our voyage, they began taking the decorations down.

It's a good possibility that the decorations will come down before your cruise sets sail, but no worries - the ship is beautiful with or without! You'll find plenty of beautiful backdrops for family photos while onboard. One of our favorite photo spots is overlooking the lobby atrium, on the 4th floor balcony next to Vista Cafe. It's a great place to get a picture with the awesome Art-Deco-style chandelier in the background!

I hope you have a wonderful, fun-filled voyage. Please say hi to Captain Mickey for me! - Diane W.
