Welcome to planDisney, Steve. Thanks for taking the time to swing by with your question for us.
After being closed for more than a year, I was elated when I heard the wonderful news that Disneyland Resort theme parks will
reopen on April 30, 2021 and that
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be welcoming Guests for stays starting April 29, 2021. Steve, it looks like you’re ready to get back to the parks and soak in some Disney Magic.
When Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen in late April, there will some new changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. While not much information has been released by Disney Management yet, we do know that park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, Guests will need both a valid park admission
and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. I speculate it will be similar to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in place at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. Moreover, to be compliant with current guidelines from the State of California, only California residents will be allowed to experience the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
Since April 30, 2021 is coming up really soon, I bet we will hear more detailed information soon regarding reopening guidelines. Be sure to stay tuned to
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog for the latest park news, Steve. Before you know it, you’ll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. and cruising on Radiator Springs Racers in no time!
