Hello there, I would like to set up a phone call to discuss accomodations for autistic/adhd children visiting the park. We will be there next weekend and I want to plan appropriately to ensure the best time is had. Thank you, Allison

    Hello, Allison,

I am also a parent of children on the spectrum. So I understand that anxious feeling that may come with planning a special vacation. Having been through it before, I hope the information I share will offer hope that things will go better than anticipated.

I am grateful for the support the Disneyland Resort offers to Guests with disabilities. I encourage you to review the information page for Guests with cognitive disabilities. The Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities is a fantastic brochure with many tips for making your experience as smooth as possible. My number one tip is to bring a favorite snack to help stave off potential meltdowns due to hunger. For more information, you may call Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or send them an email.

Some Guests may also benefit from enrolling in Disability Access Service (DAS). A Cast Member will interview the Guest in need of services to determine eligibility for DAS or to discuss other services and accommodations that may be available. This interview can be done in person at any of the Guest Relations locations throughout the parks. (Tony’s Tip: find one of the smaller locations away from the main park entrance to meet with a Cast Member quicker.) Or between two and 30 days before arrival, you may choose to visit the Planning with Disability Access Service (DAS) page to request an interview through DAS Advance. Click the “Request Live Chat” button between the hours of 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time to join the queue.

I hope you and your child have a magical time visiting the Disneyland Resort, Allison. If you have any more questions, we’d be glad to hear from you again here at planDisney.
