How do I set up a meet and greet

    Welcome to planDisney, Fu!

I’m happy to hear you’re looking ahead to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation next summer and thinking about meeting some of your family’s favorite characters! A hug and a high five from our beloved friends from Disney films is such a special part of any Disney vacation, so I’m happy to share how to make that happen. You’ll find characters from classic Disney stories, Pixar films, Star Wars, and Disney Junior throughout your vacation.

Good news, you don’t need to do much in advance to set up a meet and greet with most characters. Please see this great list of character experiences around Walt Disney World, including the theme parks and resorts to make your must-see list before your trip. You’ll also find these opportunities listed in the My Disney Experience App for specific locations and times to meet friends in all four theme parks; you can even select some as a Disney Genie+ selection for a specific arrival window but that is done the same day as your theme park visit.

If meeting a special friend is a priority for your family, you can plan a dining reservation where characters are part of the experience. You can reserve these special meals 60 days before you arrive to ensure you have both a fabulous meal and opportunity for visits and photos with some beloved Disney characters in a memorable setting.

Some of my family’s favorite character meals include:

I hope this helps you know what to expect and puts your mind at ease – there are many character experiences around Walt Disney World, and I know your family will love this magical aspect that’s distinctly Disney!

Please send in another question to our team if there’s a particular character your family wants to prioritize and we can give further guidance on where to see them during your visit.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy
