Welcome to planDisney, Aubrey! It looks like you're planning for a magical visit to
celebrate summer at the Walt Disney World Resort; it's going to be an exciting time to visit with so many new offerings! I can't wait to see
Disney Dreams That Soar, the new drone show that just debuted at
Disney Springs! But for now, let's dig a little deeper into Disney's Disability Access Service, so you can get set up with a Cast Member to walk you through this process!
Disability Access Service offers Guests who have trouble tolerating extended wait times in a traditional queue an opportunity to wait virtually for an attraction and return to the attraction when it is their turn to ride. This service is typically offered for Guests with developmental delays like autism or similar. The process for utilizing DAS begins with online registration and a live video chat with a Cast Member who will determine your eligibility to utilize this service. The registration and video chat can be completed as early as 30 days before your trip, and is available daily from 7 AM EST to 8 PM EST.
To register for DAS and set up your interview, follow these steps:
- Be sure you are logged into your My Disney Experience account and visit the registration page for DAS
- Scroll down and click first on Terms and Conditions - you must accept the terms and conditions first before you will be able to request a live chat
- Return to the DAS registration page and scroll down to the blue button that says Request Live Video Chat
Aubrey, I hope this helps you to set up your interview, and I hope that DAS can make your visit even more magical and inclusive! If you have any other planning questions as you prepare to head to the Most Magical Place on Earth, come back and let us know! At planDisney, we're always ready to sprinkle some pixie dust on your plans!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
