Welcome to planDisney! I'm so sorry that you had a bit of a digital mishap with your
Disney Band (MagicBand in the US)!
Officially, once a Disney Band is linked to a My Disney Experience account it
cannot be unlinked and reassigned. However, I reached out to Cast Members at
My Disney Experience and MagicBands and they highly recommend you give them a call as there is a chance they can help once they look into it. There are no guarantees but they do review these things on a case-by-case basis and wanted me to tell you to call them yourself. I wish you luck but if for some reason it cannot be done I want you to know that it is okay to have multiple bands linked to one person. I have a few linked to my account which I change out daily on my trips to coordinate with my outfit or be themed for the Park I'm visiting. You bet I'm wearing my Cinderella Castle Disney Band on the day I'm visiting Magic Kingdom Park!
Since your daughter may be upset I would consider looking at your Resort's gift shop when you arrive to find one for her as a consolation. I have found some hard-to-find ones in Resort gift shops that I adore. I would also suggest a trip to
Disney Springs to the
World of Disney store which has a great selection. My kids found their gorgeous bands on one of our last trips at
Disney's Pin Traders in Disney Springs which was a revelation. Sometimes the least obvious places end up having some special surprises!
