Hey there, Amy! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I'm always excited to chat with a fellow Louisianian!
Well, it's that time! Time for king cakes, marching bands and ladders lined up on the neutral ground. But for some of us, that means it's also time for a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! In just a couple of weeks, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your most magical Mardi Gras getaway. How exciting! With the Walt Disney World Resort
50th Anniversary Celebration in full swing, there is no better time to visit, and besides our home state of Louisiana, there is no better place to let the good times roll! Now, let's tie up those loose ends so that you can relax and enjoy your upcoming pixie-dusted adventure.
To charge meals, snacks, merchandise and any other purchases to your MagicBand, you must have a credit card or debit card linked to your My Disney Experience account. However, if you prefer to pay cash, you can use your MagicBand to charge your purchases to your room and then use cash to pay your hotel folio at the end of your stay. Before checkout, just stop by the front desk and let a Cast Member know that you'd like to pay with cash, and they'll be happy to assist you. If you plan on paying your balance with cash at the end of your stay, if possible, I'd suggest linking a credit card to your My Disney Experience account, instead of a debit card. I have my debit card linked, so at this time, when I am charging to my MagicBand, a hold of $100 is placed on my debit card each day. Of course, whatever I don't spend is automatically refunded before I even notice the hold, but using a credit card instead may make this process more seamless for you if you plan on settling up with cash. Now,
laissez les bons temps rouler!
Amy, while you are enjoying your magical vacation, make sure that you
See Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park. Surely, she will be excited to wish a fellow Louisianian a "Happy Mardi Gras!"
Amy, I'm wishing you THE most magical upcoming adventure! Stop by any time with any of your vacation planning questions.
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
