Hello, Jessy, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is... in the words of Pocahontas,
"just around the riverbend!" And, it looks like you have some great experiences lined up at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the
Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package.
Jessy, I understand your Mom's desire to include more family members in on the Magic, so let's talk through the logistics of adding your nephew to your existing plans. The feasibility of this depends on a few factors with the first being occupancy and the number of guests in your Disney Resort Hotel room. For example, if you already have 4 guests in a room and are staying in a
Standard View room at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort (that sleeps up to 4 adults), you would not be able to add your nephew to the reservation. Rooms with a King Bed accommodate 2 adults and other rooms you'll find at different
Disney Resort Hotels accommodate up to 5 or 6 adults. With this variability, my best recommendation is to
call Disney directly and speak to a Cast Member about adding him to your current package. If your room falls into a category that would not allow him to stay with you, you would then be able to chat with the Cast Member about changing room types or resorts (if you desire). Second, if you have a vacation package with tickets included, you will want to make sure to check that the
Disney Park Pass calendar shows availability. Assuming there is availability, your nephew or
a member of your traveling party would just need to make matching Disney Park Pass reservations after he has been assigned a ticket.
Now, let's talk about dining reservations. While most
dining reservations can often be modified to add a single guest on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, this is subject to availability. If you don't find the flexibility to add a guest for a specific restaurant, you can keep trying up until the time of your reservation.
(You never know when other guests' plans will change and availability will update.) Jessy, it's important to note that the two dining experiences you mentioned do NOT offer online modifications. You can call (407) WDW-DINE to inquire. If your nephew is an adult who understands that he might not be able to join your family for a few meals, you could plan to have him join you at Walt Disney World and allow him to make his own dinner plans when they can't align with yours. If your nephew is a younger Mouseketeer who wouldn't be dining on his own, you may want to have a conversation about which dining reservations you would be willing to skip if you're unable to add another guest (just make sure to read up on the
dining cancellation policy before your visit).
Jessy, I hope this helps as you're considering adding your nephew to your vacation. I'll be wishing on a star that you have a Magical vacation no matter who joins your trip. Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions.
Lauren
