Welcome to planDisney, Sheila!
You are counting down the weeks until your Walt Disney World Resort vacation – woo hoo! You are going to be in the middle of the magic so soon, and I’m so excited for you.
My checklist-loving heart loves hearing that you’ve set up your
My Disney Experience accounts, purchased your
theme park tickets, and made your Disney Park Pass reservations. As Tiana would say, “you’re almost there!” While the My Disney Experience app is a super handy tool, it doesn’t currently have a ticket barcode scanning option for park entry.
Not to worry, Sheila. You have a couple of options. If you will be using
MagicBands during your visit, they will be linked to your tickets and you will be able to scan those for park entry. If you’re going to be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’ll find the option for purchasing MagicBands under your resort hotel reservation in My Disney Experience, or you can
buy MagicBands from shopDisney or a Disney gift shop and link them to your account using the app.
If you won’t be using MagicBands, you’ll need to stop by
Guest Relations to pick up your physical ticket cards. The Cast Member there will be able to pull up your ticket order and provide you with cards you can use to enter the theme parks.
If you want to
call in advance and see if you can be issued an e-ticket with a barcode since you didn’t receive one via email, you can reach the Existing Tickets line at (407) 566-4985. Have your confirmation number handy, as well as the email address associated with your My Disney Experience account.
Have so much fun on your springtime visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Sheila. My very favorite festival, the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, will be in bloom during your visit, and I hope you’ve got plans to taste the delicious food and drinks and enjoy all the festival has to offer. I highly recommend the delicious and refreshing
Frozen Dessert Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade - I dream about it all year.
As you count down to your visit, be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates, and please come back and see us should you have any more questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
