Hi there, James!
Ahoy and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you’ve brought your questions to us to answer as we LOVE to help Guests have the most magical adventures at sea during their Disney Cruise Line vacations!
Planning for a vacation (especially from abroad) is incredibly stressful so I completely understand your disappointment in not being able to secure those onboard activities when your booking window opened! While I am not aware of any tickets or reservations being held back specifically for first-time Guests, I do recommend continuing to check back online as your voyage gets closer to see if another Guest’s plans have changed, freeing up spots in an activity you are looking for! And, if not, please make it a priority to check once onboard about availability for those activities. Personally, we have usually been able to secure makeover reservations at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique once onboard as my boys are never certain if they want to be transformed into a swashbuckling pirate, handsome Prince Charming OR a dashing Knight prior to our voyage! We have also often been able to make – or change –
adult exclusive dining reservations once onboard. But we do make it a priority on embarkation day to stop by Guest Services, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the specified location for adult-dining as soon as we can to make those requests! But, in the meantime, continue to check back online and be sure to grab anything that you see, even if it’s not for your full travel party! I think it would be easier to add an extra guest or two to an existing reservation than to find space for an entire group!
James, no matter what happens, I am certain that this will be a vacation you will all remember so fondly! I am so excited for you and all the magical memories you will make onboard the Disney Dream! Please continue to visit with any other questions you have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
