Hi David,
Welcome to planDisney!
How exciting to hEAR that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Although there are several tools to help you plan, our
Disney Group Getaways team specializes in parties that will need 10 rooms or more. If you will need rooms, you can also
contact a Cast Member for assistance with booking multiple vacation packages.
It sounds like you have taken on the role of lead planner-in-charge. If so, you can make those
advanced dining reservations online. Having made dining reservations for larger groups, I will say that I prefer making those reservations online because I do not have to hold for a Cast Member. Since the dining reservation system will only allow you to make one reservation within a time window, I have always worked with another person in our group to make the reservations.
For planning purposes, we split our party into two equal groups, make sure we are connected through the
My Family & Friends List in
My Disney Experience, and then each of us will make a reservation around the same time. So, for example, I might make a dinner reservation for 6:00 p.m. with half of our group and my planning partner makes another one for 6:05 p.m. (if 6:00 p.m. is unavailable).
Typically, I have found that it gets more difficult to make a dining reservation if my party is more than six. Recently, I have been helping a friend look for dining reservations and had success when I split her party of seven into a group of four and a group of three. So, consider how you might be able to split your party into smaller groups and then enlist the help of one or more traveling partners who also has a My Disney Experience Account.
With
Disney Park Pass system reservations, you should be able to make those for everyone as long as they are all connected and/or listed in your My Disney Experience account. Prior to making those park pass reservations, check the
theme park availability calendar online. If you have more than 12 people in your party, you can make those park pass reservations in groups. So, for example, if you have a party of 20, do one group of 12 and then book the remaining family or friends in another group. Keep in mind that everyone in your party will need valid theme park tickets or Annual Passes linked in My Disney Experience before you can make park pass reservations for them.
David, I am sending a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will emerge as the superhero planner of the group! We cannot wait to welcome you for an
Incredible Disney visit!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
