Hi Carmine,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you’re planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth with lots of loved ones! You’ll all have so much FUN and make many precious memories together to cherish for years to come!
As the mama of an Autistic Mouseketeer myself, I want to let you know that Disney offers several wonderful
services for Guests with disabilities to help
everyone feel comfortable during their visits. One of those services, the
Disability Access Service (DAS) will allow Guests who struggle to tolerate traditional queues due to their disability to access the Lightning Lanes, one at a time. To inquire about DAS, you may
preregister online via video chat (although they’ll only be able to accommodate up to six Guests via this method) or stop by Guest Relations inside a park once you arrive. DAS may be used in conjunction with
Disney Genie+ and any
Individual Lightning Lane purchases, so between all of those options, you should spend very little time waiting.
Of course, another option is to look into
Disney Private VIP Tours. You’ll have access to a highly knowledgeable Cast Member who can provide expedited access to beloved attractions, insider tips, and even additional planning assistance. These tours accommodate up to ten Guests and may be booked 60 days in advance. Since you’re staying at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (which you'll LOVE by the way; it's one of my favorites!), you’ll have the added benefit of being able to make your reservation 60 days before your check-in date, rather than the date you’re actually interested in booking.
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Carmine, and please feel free to come back and see us again if you have any other questions. I hope that you and your entire crew have a truly magical vacation next
spring!
Missy
