Hi Kari,
Welcome to planDisney!
We are delighted to see you planning a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort. I am also happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian! You may be relieved to know that
Service Animals are allowed with certain stipulations. Please note that they may not be allowed to ride some attractions, so speak with a cast member at the attraction to see what your available options are. It may also be helpful to review all of the
Services for Guests with Disabilities prior to your visit.
As your arrival date quickly approaches, I hope you have purchased
theme park tickets and made a few
advanced dining reservations. Dining reservations are an absolute must-do for my family. It gives us a chance to take a few planned breaks and we always want to be sure we have an opportunity to dine at our favorite restaurants, several of which are quite popular and may not have same-day dining availability.
I hope you are planning to stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. If not, it's not too late to consider it! Take a look at the
Special Offers and then check availability for your dates. We prefer Disney resort hotels because of their beautiful theming but also because of their proximity to the theme parks. Even when we have considered staying at a non-Disney hotel, in my experience, when those hotels offer shuttle service to the parks, those services have never been as frequent or as easy to use as Walt Disney World®
Resort Transportation so I factor in the value of time in our decision-making process.
Kari, I hope this helps! Take some time to familiarize yourself with the guidance for service animals and continue to make other plans. I am literally running in circles looking at your countdown! You can do this!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
