Are service dogs allowed at the Grand Floridian?

Hello Cathy and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Walt Disney World Resort is welcoming of service dogs and miniature horses that are specifically trained to perform tasks for the person with the disability. This is true of all theme parks and resort hotels including Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  As expected, Service animals must be under the control of the owner at all times, and Cast Members are not allowed to take control of service animals.

The Walt Disney World website includes a complete list of attractions that restrict the use of service animals on the actual attraction.  I hope this is helpful to your planning.  If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help.

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
