Hey there, Destiny! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by again with another wonderful question for us.
Walt Disney World values
Guests with Disabilities, and this includes those Guests that travel with service animals. I am sure that having your service dog nearby is crucial to helping you feel safe and comfortable on vacation. You may certainly have your dog accompany you to your
Resort Hotel pool. However, the dog will not be permitted to enter the water or be any closer than 4 feet to the edge of the water on a wet pool deck. These policies are outlined
here.
It is also important to note that should your dog accompany you to a Theme Park, he/she will not be able to experience all attractions, and Cast Members cannot take control of service animals at any time. On the
Service Animals page you will find a list of attractions where service animals are not permitted, as well as those where they are permitted with precautions. There is also a handy list of service animal relief areas within each of the four Disney Theme Parks! I did speak with Guest Services regarding the ability to leave your service animal in your Resort Hotel room, and they did let me know that the animal must be in your care at all times.
Destiny, I hope this information is helpful to you as you plan your next Disney vacation. For further information regarding these policies and other information regarding Guests with Disabilities, feel free to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Wishing you many magical moments,
Clara
