Hello, Robert! We appreciate you stopping by
planDisney with your question.
Robert, on behalf of the panelists here I want to thank you for your service and sacrifice. Several of us come from military families, and we truly understand and appreciate what you and your family gave up in service to our country. We are grateful.
To be eligible for what we know as the Armed Forces Salute discounted tickets, you have to be active duty, retired, or 100% permanent service-connected disabled. There are, however, other
military discounted tickets you do qualify for. Those tickets are available through your nearest military base through the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program. These are slightly discounted, tax-free tickets, so they are cheaper than the
tickets you can buy directly from
Walt Disney World Some bases will mail them, but by the time you have to pay the fees to send them to you, it eats away at the discount. Call the base before you go to make sure they are in stock.
Once you have your tickets, Robert, don't forget to link them in your
My Disney Experience app. You'll also need to make sure you make
theme park reservations for the days you want to use the tickets.
I hope you get to enjoy some of the new sights and sounds for the
50th Anniversary Celebration. I am also really loving the new nighttime show at EPCOT -
Harmonious. What a great way to end an evening.
Thanks again, Robert, and please come back if we can help with anything else.
Anna
