Seriously considering joining DVC and looking for a comparison (in terms of size, amenities, convenience) between studio villas at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom? We have 2 boys, ages 6 and 4. DVC is only going to deepen my Disney addiction!! Thx

    Hi Laura,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  We are Disney Vacation Club members, and the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of our home resorts.  That being said, we have stayed there only once since our purchase in 2001.

We recently stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani, and aside from location we prefer this resort.  The rooms are larger and the pool is one of the best on property.  These are critical factors for us when deciding where to stay.  What I didn't like about Kidani was the lack of quick service food (you have to walk over to Jambo House), and the location.  It is probably the most remote resort, and the only mode of transportation available is a bus.  At the Villas at Wilderness Lodge you are more centrally located and have the option to take a boat to the Magic Kingdom.

I suggest that you visit www.allearsnet.com for detailed photographs of both resorts.  I always find this website extremely helpful when planning vacations.

Hope this helps, good luck with your decision!
