Qays Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi! We are seriously considering coming to disney world at around the end of August, I would just like to know what we would lose out on if we were to stay in the doubletree suites rather than a disney hotel? And if theres any other dining plan available?

Hi Qays! Thanks for the questions. When I'm asked my number one tip from people travelling to Disney World for the first time, it's always to stay at a Disney resort. Here are just a few reasons:

Magical Express - Guests enjoy free transportation to and from Orlando International Airport. In addition, your bags are transported for you, so it couldn't be easier.
    - Free transportation - No rental car or driving needed while on a Disney vacation! Buses, monorails and boats are at your disposal, and will get you where you need to be.
Extra Magic Hours - We never have enough time as there is so much to see and do! As a guest, you get privileged entry to theme parks either an hour before opening to the general public or up to three hours after.
Disney Dining Plan - Only guests of Disney resorts can take advantage of this great offering. You'll save lots of money and can't beat the convenience!
A resort for every budget - You can enjoy Value Resorts, where you get all of these perks and more for fabulously low prices or Disney Deluxe Resorts. You can even camp!
    - Fantastic Theming - You can't beat the theming. Each resort is unique, and uniquely awesome!
    - Quality of Service- One thing I always come back to is the level of service provided by Disney cast members. There's a reason disney is reknowned for its excellence, and you'll see it throughout the resort!

Hope this helps with your decision Qays! Please write back if we can answer any other questions!
