Hi, Nancy!
Not to worry!
We visited Walt Disney World last summer with one of my little nieces, who also has an allergy to tree nuts and shellfish; nothing was a problem!
When you make your reservation at
Fulton's Crab House, simply inform the Cast Member assisting you of your son's allergy; that note will be embedded in your reservation, and should be stamped on your table's ticket upon seating. (Just for peace of mind, ask the Host or Hostess upon checking in at the restaurant, to be sure that the allergy is noted. Ours was noted on each reservation throughout our stay.)
Once seated, the chef will come to your table and help you to either revise options on the menu or inform you of what to avoid. If anything is brought to the table for everyone to enjoy, the chef will advise you of anything that your son should not eat as well. We've had such wonderful chefs discuss our party's needs over the years; it's clear that these very special folks not only have a passion for the food they prepare, but they are also passionate about ensuring that their Guests enjoy everything they've prepared...safely.

Guests with special dietary needs. For additional information, check out the unofficial site AllEars.Net, a great source of very specific information, including fan-compiled information about dining in WDW with a food allergy.
When you take a look at Fulton's great menu, you'll see that there are plenty of delicious choices for your son which do not include shellfish. Yum!
Send more questions as you think of them, Nancy; we love to help!
