Aloha, Lorray!
You'll be traveling from one paradise to another when you come to Port Canaveral for your Disney Fantasy Cruise to the Western Caribbean! And I love that you've chosen a Halloween on the High Seas Sailing for your seafaring crew. The special activities and events are simply SPOOK-tacular, and the ship will look absolutely BOO-tiful. It will be a festive week filled with fun, sun and loads of pixie dust!
I'm glad you sent in this question because you'll want to select a flight that gets you to the ship well before the "All Aboard" time so you can start enjoying your floating destination. My number one cruise tip is to arrive the day prior to departure so that your embarkation day is smooth sailing with no travel delays. There is a Hyatt Regency Hotel located within the Orlando Airport so it's easy to come in the day before and walk right over to the hotel for check-in. You can purchase
ground transportation from Disney Cruise Line that will pick you up from the airport the morning of your cruise and take you directly to the port (and deliver your luggage right to your stateroom!). Transportation begins around 9:00 a.m. and runs until early afternoon. Arriving a day early will give you the peace of mind that you want when traveling over 4,000 miles for your vacation.
If you have to fly in the same day, Disney Cruise Line asks that you do not arrive after 1:45 p.m. since all Guests are asked to be onboard by 3:45 p.m. The Orlando Airport is about an hour from Port Canaveral so you'll want to plan plenty of time to travel to the ship. The good news is that once you arrive at the port, you'll be on the Disney Fantasy in no time and your magical vacation will be underway!
Lorray, we are so glad you cruised by with your question. We hope you'll reach back out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you need further help.
