We are going September 5-14, 2014. Looking for opinions on where to stay with hubby and 3 kids (ages 14,5 &3) Art of Animation family suite or Port Orleans Riverside or somewhere else!! Hoping for free dining promotion!

    Hi Beth,

Even though September 2014 seems far off, it will be here before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" So, it is smart of you to get started with your planning. While I have no prior knowledge of when special promos like free dining are going to be offered, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

You have picked two really great resorts, as well as two of my personal favorites, to choose from. The family suites at the Art of Animation are absolutely fabulous. I love the fact that they have room for up to 6 guests with a separate bedroom and the murphy bed. Even better than that is the extra bathroom that is a huge plus in my opinion. I find these rooms extra spacious and the theming and special Disney touches absolutely stellar at this resort. Another great feature is the Big Blue Pool. Nowhere else on property can you hear music underneath the water. It is also one of the largest pools on property. Last, but not least, is the great value for your dollar for what you get!

Port Orleans Riverside is also a great hotel. While the rooms that can accommodate up to five people are not as large as the family suites at Art of Animation, the theming and location are very well done. This resort has a tranquil and relaxed feel and has some really fun recreation activities like fishing, kayak rentals, and biking trails.

I hope this helps you in your decision. Feel free to stop back by with more questions as your planning continues.
