Hey there, Kaitlyn! Welcome to planDisney! You came to the perfect place to ask your question. You’ll be arriving during the most magical time when two amazing celebrations overlap: the spooky fun of
Halloween Time and the spectacular
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration!
Now, while the full entertainment schedule for your dates won't be released until closer to your visit, the
Disney Parks Blog has given us some exciting announcements for the season that can help us plan!
Let's start with your day at Disney California Adventure Park. If you’ll be visiting on September 16, 2025, the most important thing to know is that this is a scheduled date for
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party! This is a special, separately ticketed event in the evening. This means that on that day, the park will close early to guests who do not have an event ticket. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the park hours for your date and deciding if you'd like to purchase a party ticket or plan to park hop over to Disneyland Park for the evening. You can also switch your park reservation as needed, pending availability. During the day, you can still enjoy amazing Halloween transformations like the "Haul-O-Ween" decorations in Cars Land!
Then, for your day at Disneyland Park, you'll be surrounded by happy haunts! Plan to see the iconic giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin and experience the fan-favorite attraction,
Haunted Mansion Holiday. For nighttime entertainment, Halloween Screams will be returning, and the iconic Paint the Night parade is also confirmed to continue its run through Halloween Time!
Kaitlyn, the absolute best place to find the latest entertainment offerings will be the
Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website or in the Disneyland app. All of these offerings are subject to change, so your best bet is to keep an eye on the schedule for the most up-to-date info, especially as your visit gets closer.
You also asked about dining events, which is one of my favorite things to plan! Dining reservations can typically be booked up to 60 days in advance. While it's too early to book for your trip just yet, we can make some good guesses based on what's offered now. For example, there is currently a
Paint the Night Dining Package at Plaza Inn. It's very possible that this will be offered during the dates of your visit. And if you do decide to attend Oogie Boogie Bash, you may be interested in the
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party, which provides seating and sweet treats during the Frightfully Fun Parade.
Here's an extra magical tip for you: one of my favorite things to do during Halloween Time is to visit Cars Land right as the sun sets. The spooky Haul-O-Ween decor and the neon lights create an atmosphere that is just perfect for photos and getting into the Halloween spirit!
I am so excited for you, Kaitlyn! I hope this helps you get a great head start on your planning.
Have a magical day!
