I see in Sept 2016 selfie sticks were allowed in Disney Springs. We are coming to Disney this week. I acknowledge they are not allowed in the parks but, can I take it into Disney Springs in Feb 2019.

Hi there, Dale! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's head over to Disney Springs for some shopping, dining, and great photo opportunities!

I can't blame you for wanting to snap some selfies at the beautiful Disney Springs. It seems every time you turn a corner there's a great new view of the waterfront, or a fountain, or some incredible architecture. And of course, you have to take photos of all the amazing food you're trying!

The code of conduct for Disney Springs posted on the Walt Disney World website specifies that Guests avoid using things like bicycles and skateboards, along with tobacco products. It also asks us to refrain from certain behaviors considered disruptive to others, and prohibits weapons. There is no specific mention of selfie sticks outside of the Theme Parks, so you may be able to use them at Disney Springs. It would probably be a good idea to check with Guest Relations at the Disney Springs Welcome Center to be absolutely certain.

Dale, while you're in the mood to pose for a photo at Disney Springs, don't miss the Disney PhotoPass Service Studio! You can say "cheese" in front of an almost endless array of virtual backgrounds, and you can link them to your My Disney Experience account. It's a fun way to remember your Disney day.

I hope this helps you enjoy a picture-perfect day at Disney Springs, Dale. Please stop in and see us again if you have any other questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
