We are going Sept.18-23 for 5 nights 2 adults 2 children 6 and 9. We did 2 day passes for 1 park per day. We might want to go to a water park while there what would be the cost? And which would you recommend? Thx

Hey, Tim! It sounds like you've got a great trip planned for your family. Let's roll up our sleeves and do a little number crunching and some planning!

At the time of this posting, you have 2-day Magic Your Way base tickets for 2 adults and 2 children which will cost you about $578 (+ tax). If you add a Water Park Fun & More Option, you will increase your total price by about $200. That would give you two visits to:  either of the water parks (Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon), DisneyQuest, Oak Trail Golf Course or ESPN Wide World of Sports. If you purchased single-day water park tickets at the gate, you would pay about $40-46 per person (+ tax).

My advice would be to add on the Water Park Fun & More Option in order to save money as well as give you flexibility once you're on vacation. You may decide (based on weather, your family's likes/dislikes, schedules, etc.) that you would like to do something entirely different than you had originally planned. So, the WPF&M Option gives you that choice!

Speaking of planning, consider the first and last days of your vacation as travel days and explore non-ticketed WDW areas such as Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, Fort Wilderness or other resorts. You can also book a character meal the day you arrive and/or the day you leave to spread the pixie dust out during the course of your vacation time. For the 4 park days, I recommend spending one day at the Magic Kingdom and one day at Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. Use one day each at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and if you decide to spend your second option on something other than a water park, I prefer Blizzard Beach...although both water parks are great!

You can fill in other family time with great recreation options such as water craft rentals, mini-golf, horseback riding, bike rentals, dining and shopping. If you have more questions, I'd love to help and you know where to find me! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
