Welcome to planDisney, Margaret! I'm so glad to see another Louisiana resident planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You'll be in lots of great company visiting during Mardi Gras week; it's always a fun takeover of purple, green, and gold parading down Main Street, U.S.A.!
Margaret, planning
advance dining reservations for a large party can sometimes be a challenge, so if you've decided to try to split your party, you will need to have a few different people logged into their
My Disney Experience accounts to try to secure multiple overlapping reservations, as the reservation system does not usually allow one account holder to book multiple conflicting reservations. When you log in to make your reservations, you can search the availability for a party of up to 20 guests, so I always recommend trying to book a whole group reservation first, and then splitting into smaller groups if needed!
We recently traveled with a group of 19 and were able to secure 3 separate breakfast reservations at
'Ohana on 3 different accounts; when we arrived, we requested to be seated near one another. While two of the groups were able to be accommodated, one table was in a different area of the restaurant, so just keep in mind that requests are not guaranteed and your party may be split if needed. I have had success in securing some group reservations for groups larger than 10 at
Grand Floridian Cafe,
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and
Chef Mickey's, and of course, if you're staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, trying to plan larger group reservations more than 60 days in advance often helps to ensure a little more availability!
Margaret, I hope this helps! Your krewe is sure to laissez les bon temps rouler in 2025! Be sure to drop on into
Tiana's Bayou Adventure to check out all of the special New Orleans-inspired details that are sure to remind you of home! If you have any other planning questions as you continue to count down to your arrival, come on back to
planDisney and let us know!
See you real soon,
Alison
