Is there a separate line for smugglers run at HS? Or can we only get into Star Wars Land/smugglers run if we have the join group number?

    Hi Paulette!

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is an amazing new land at Disney's Hollywood Studios that opened just a few days ago!  I was able to preview the land and can say I definitely felt transported to the planet Batuu during my visit.

Walt Disney World has procedures in place for a virtual queue for when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reaches capacity.  Guests can find the status of the land by checking the dashboard of their My Disney Experience mobile app.  This will show if the land is open and you can freely walk right in or if guests need to join a boarding group in the virtual queue.  If the virtual queue and boarding groups are being implemented during your time at Disney's Hollywood Studios, join a boarding group and enjoy other attractions until your boarding group is called via notifications in the mobile app.

If the status of the land on the My Disney Experience mobile app shows "Open", you can walk right into Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge without a boarding number.  Make sure your mobile app is updated, as I just had to update mine to check out the current status out of curiosity.

The boarding groups and virtual queue are only for entrance to the land.  Once you are inside the land, there is a separate line queue for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
