Chrystal from BC Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Can 2 separate families link tickets to use the max pass together? know I can link my husband but if I link a different unrelated family to my tickets, is there any implications? We are arriving and leaving at different times but have overlapping days.

Greetings, Chrystal, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR! Your Disneyland Resort adventures are about to begin… just one week to go!

Yes, I’m delighted to report that two separate families can link tickets on the Disneyland app in order to make Disney MaxPass selections together! It’s a great idea for larger groups to utilize MaxPass to make Disney FASTPASS selections – it’s much more convenient, and a great time-saver, too! You can link your tickets on as many mobile devices as you’d like, even if you’re arriving and departing at different times. It’s always a good idea to have several members of your group with the Disneyland app downloaded, just in case your battery runs low.

Linking tickets is a simple process, and I’m happy to walk you through it. First, start by downloading the Disneyland app. Scroll down until you find “My Tickets,” then, in the top right corner, click on the blue “+”. Select the option to “Link Tickets & Passes.” Next, scan the barcode for each ticket or pass that you’d like to link, or enter the ID numbers manually. After you have both family’s tickets linked, you’ll want to make sure everyone has Disney MaxPass added to their tickets. If you or your friends didn’t already add MaxPass at the time of your ticket purchase, you can still add it on a daily basis, via the Disneyland app. Simply choose “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass,” then find and select the appropriate tickets to add MaxPass to.

Once you’re ready to make your first FASTPASS selection using MaxPass, and everyone in your group is in the park, select “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass” to create your FASTPASS party. Select the appropriate tickets for that particular attraction, then you’re on your way to making your FASTPASS selection!

Lastly, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival date, so you can start mapping out your dream Disney getaway now! I’m so excited that you’ll get to see the Main Street Electrical Parade before it’s gone at the end of the month!

Please stop by with any additional planning questions you may have… I’m all EARs!
