We have 5 separate families coming. I want each family to be able to plan together on the experience website. When I added their reservation numbers, it required me to decide on managing or inviting for each person. What's the best way to do this?

Hello, Erica! It sounds like you're going to have five times the fun with all the friends you are vacationing with at Walt Disney World Resort! I've also been lucky to travel with other families to my "Happy Place," so I have a few tips for setting up your My Disney Experience account so that everything is working smoothly.

The first thing I'd advise is to make sure that at least one member from each family sets up his or her own My Disney Experience account. When you pull up your own account, you will probably see that your children are being "Managed" by you, which simply means that since they don't have an account, you handle their planning for them. "Inviting to Connect" is only for Guests who have their own My Disney Experience account set up already. Once you invite your friends to connect to your Family & Friends list, they will receive an email and will need to log in to accept or decline your invitation. When they accept, you will see a check mark next to their name in your Family & Friends list. After that, the fun begins, and you can get ready to book those FastPass+ selections and dining reservations together!

I'll be honest, this may be tricky with larger parties, so I recommend reaching out to the Internet Help Desk directly for assistance at (407) 939-4357. Note that they will need to verify information for any My Disney Experience account that needs to be accessed. This is usually an email, name on the account, and address associated with the account. The last time I visited with a large party, I made sure to check with everyone first, kept a list, and then made my call!

Good luck and have fun with the planning process, Erica!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
