Welcome to planDisney, Francine! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Tickets are one of the most important parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I'm happy to clarify ticket categories for you so you know exactly what to expect this
holiday season.
Disney World keeps things pretty simple when it comes to ticket categories, and there actually aren't separate senior tickets at all. Instead, all tickets are priced based on two age groups: children ages 3-9, and everyone ages 10 and up. That means once a guest is over 10 years old, whether they're 16, 36, or 86, they'll pay the same "adult" ticket price. There's no specific senior rate, and there's no age cutoff to qualify for one.
Since you're looking at visiting on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, those dates tend to be some of the highest-attended days of the year at Walt Disney World. Ticket prices vary by date, so the exact price for those two days will depend on the type of ticket you choose, whether it's a single-day ticket to just one park, a Park Hopper ticket that lets you visit multiple parks in a day, or a multi-day ticket that covers your whole trip.
You can check current prices right on the Walt Disney World website or in the
My Disney Experience app by selecting your visit dates and ticket type. The system will automatically show you the per-day price for each option, so you can decide what works best for your trip.
Even without a senior discount, there are still ways to get great value out of your visit, like choosing a multi-day ticket, which lowers the per-day cost, or combining your tickets with a
Disney Resort Hotel package that might be eligible for
special offers. And no matter the price, Christmas at Disney is absolutely magical and really adds that extra bit of festive sparkle to that special time of year!
I hope this answers your question, Francine, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
