Hi there, Sharon! Welcome to planDisney!
One of the things I love most about the
Disneyland Resort is that it truly is a place for Guests of all ages to feel welcome, comfortable ... and magical. With that in mind, there is flexibility built into your tickets and reservations so that if plans change, you have some freedom to adjust your visit to meet your needs. Let's walk through a few things together so you have all the information at your fingertips!
As you know, Guests entering
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park will need both a ticket and a theme park reservation. The current process for purchasing tickets will ask you to make reservations for each of your park days, as you have discovered. Reservations can be canceled and rebooked through the website or Disneyland Mobile App, so you can choose dates at the time of purchase and change them later. One thing to note is that reservations are limited and subject to availability. You can always check the
theme park reservation calendar to see what reservations are open. Just something to keep in mind when you are changing your plans. The good news is that you have until 11:59 p.m. PST the evening before your visit to cancel should you decide you may not be up for the magic the following day.
To make changes to your reservations from the
Disneyland Resort website, make sure you are logged into your account with the email address and password you used to purchase your tickets. Navigate to the "My Disneyland" tab along the top navigation bar. You will see "Tickets and Reservation Details" in the drop-down menu. Tap here and scroll and click on "View My Park Reservations". The next page will bring you to a full list of any upcoming reservations you are holding, and you will see the option to "Cancel Reservation". Once the cancelation is confirmed, it will take you back to the beginning where you can make a new reservation.
When it comes to your
tickets, it sounds like you may have the Southern California Resident Weekday Tickets for eligible residents of ZIP codes 90000-93599. This is a three-day ticket that can be used on non-consecutive days for most dates through May 26th, 2022. One thing I do want to point out is that if you are holding a regular 3-day One Park Per Day or Park Hopper ticket, and not the Southern California Resident Ticket, you will need to use all three days within 13 days of the first use.
I know that I like to have a few spots picked out in both parks to take a break from the heat and park hustle and bustle, especially when we have grandparents in tow. When at Disneyland Park, we often find ourselves at
The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln right off of Town Square. This is a great spot to take a moment to recharge and relax and cool down. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the
Animation Academy is wonderful for a midday break for all ages. Little ones can run through The Beast's Library or even have a live chat with Crush from
Finding Nemo, or you can choose to sit and soak in the music and animation process!
Sharon, if you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
