We are senior citizens and will be in FL the month of Jan 2011. What things can we see and do at WDW in Jan? Is it hard to visit with our pet traveling with us?

Hi Marie!  Walt Disney World is completely operating and spreading magic throughout the month of January!  All four parks are open daily with many great things for guests of all ages to enjoy.  You can read about all the park attractions and entertainment by clicking HERE.  Carefully read the descriptions of each to decide which might interest you during your upcoming trip.  My best advice to all guests is to take your time and enjoy the parks at your pace.  You don't' have to see and do everything in one trip!

If you are traveling with your pet then I suggest you use the great new boarding facility at Disney called Best Friends Pet Resort. This just opened this fall and is located across from Port Orleans resort which is centrally located on the property and easy access then to all parks.  The facility has many different options for daily or overnight boarding and great grooming care as well.  Fort Wilderness is the only location on property where you can keep your dog and that is only if you have a trailer or RV of some sort. Tent campers do not qualify nor do the guests who reserver the cabins. Pets with the exception of Service Dogs are not allowed in the parks and you cannot leave animals in your cars during your park stays.

During our recent visit we had to take our pup to Best Friends for their help in removing a tick. The facilities are beautiful and the personnel were wonderful and caring. I would not hesitate to use this facility in the future if we needed a place for our best four legged friend. Please click HERE for more information.
