My senior citizen parents and I have been to Disney World many times. We have stayed at several resorts including Port Orleans Riverside, All Star Sports, Coronado Springs, Polynesian, and Caribbean Beach. Where is a new place you recommend we stay?

Hi there, Danielle. I'm so very happy to welcome you to planDisney with such a lovely question! It sounds like visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth with your parents is a magical tradition. (swoon) A few years ago, I took a girls' trip with my mom (who would want me to mention she is only "slightly" older), and those pixie-dusted memories mean everything to me. I'm thrilled to help you create new special memories with your parents!

I enjoy my time at Disney Resort hotels just as much as visiting the theme parks. After putting some time into thinking about your question, I want to highlight that since you'll be arriving the week before Thanksgiving, you'll likely see many Christmas decorations already up by the latter half of November. With that in mind, I have a few holly jolly suggestions for you!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is stunning during the holiday season. I happened to stay there last year when the lobby was spruced up with lights and the most beautiful tree. This Resort hotel offers the unique opportunity to see animals like giraffes and zebras just steps outside your door.

When it comes to holiday decorations, Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a must-visit! Their Christmas tree is a breathtaking sight, and you can feel the holiday spirit in every corner of this Resort hotel. Whether it was the holiday season or not, this would definitely be my mother-in-law's pick for where to stay. With its theming and fun restaurants like Whispering Canyon Cafe and Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, it would be an excellent choice for your parents and unique to places they've stayed before!

Disney's Beach Club Resort is truly enchanting during the holidays, too! The decorations at this hotel shine along Crescent Lake. Last year, they featured a charming gingerbread display. While we never know the exact date that Resort hotels will fully be decorated, this hotel is a magical choice with Stormalong Bay outside your door, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop just steps away, and only a short walk or boat ride from the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Danielle, to be honest, I've stayed at almost every Disney Resort hotel, and you really can't go wrong with any Resort hotel that fits your parents' style. I want to make sure you have the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts link to help you find the perfect offer.

This has been a fun question to answer, and I'm so happy you'll spend such a special time with your family. Please feel free to stop by and visit us here at planDisney anytime.

    Happy family memories,
    Shonette
