Is there a way for me to send my son the tickets for his family so that I don’t have to manage them from my account and phone?

Hi there, Kimber! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. We’re so happy to be able to help you today!

Oh my goodness, your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! You must be getting so excited. I know the last couple of weeks ahead of any trip can be exciting but also a little bit hectic as you wrap up all of those trip details and get to packing. Rest assured, your pals at planDisney are here to spread a little pixie dust to help make your trip planning experience as enjoyable as possible. It is vacation, after all!

I bet you have already done so much work putting together this fabulous trip for your family, so now it’s time for YOU to kick back, relax and enjoy yourself! So, I’m so happy to share that you can absolutely set it up so your son can manage his tickets through his own My Disney Experience account. So, let’s do it!

To get started, you will need to link your son and his family to your Family & Friend list. Below are a few simple steps to do this:

    • First, have your son log into his own My Disney Experience app and open the menu (the three stacked lines on the bottom right corner).
    • Then, ask him to scroll down and click on "My Profile" and select "Show My Linking Code."
    • Have your son jot down the six-character manual code on this screen and send it your way.
Once you have their manual linking code, open your My Disney Experience app and navigate to "My Profile."
    • Then, toggle to "Family & Friends List" and select "Add a Guest."
    • Click on "Scan their linking code," then "Manually Enter a Code," submit, and you are all set!

The manual linking codes are only valid for 30 minutes each, so keep that in mind as you follow the steps above.

Once you have the members of your son’s family added, you can then assign the Theme Park Tickets to them by following the steps below:

    • Open the menu again in your My Disney Experience app.
    • Navigate to “Tickets and Passes.”
    • Locate the tickets purchased for your sister’s family, and click on “Reassign Ticket” below.
    • From there, you can assign each ticket to the correct member of your party, and you’re all set!

Pretty easy, right, Kimber?! Now he can enter the parks, make Disney Genie+ selections, and so much more. All while you’re kicking back by your Disney Resorts Collection hotel pool! How great is that?!

We just love helping fellow Guests like you as they plan their magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so please stop by again with any questions you may have! We're here to help make your vacation practically perfect in every way!

    Bye for now!
