Hi Rena. Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question!
In regular, everyday life, I'm not a huge shopper. I get in, grab what I need, and get out. But that changes when I'm at the
Walt Disney World Resort. I love to take my time in the various
merchandise locations, not only eyeing up all the latest souvenirs but also taking in the unique theming of each shop. My favorite shop in all of the Walt Disney World Resort has got to be
Memento Mori near
Magic Kingdom Park. If you love all things
Haunted Mansion, you'll absolutely adore this delightfully macabre shopping destination! But no matter what your tastes are, there's a shop, and a souvenir, for you.
At this time, merchandise cannot be sent back to your
Disneys Resorts Collection Hotel after purchase. I miss this perk too and am hoping it'll return at some point! But don't fret, I've got some solutions for you.
While Memento Mori may be my favorite shop at the resort, the best single destination for so much of your Disney-related shopping needs has got to be the
World of Disney store in
Disney Springs. While it doesn't have every single item sold in the parks, it certainly seems like it does and has a great deal of them. I like to plan to go to Disney Springs on my arrival day and stop in this store. I usually pick up a few things that I love and a bunch of my souvenir shopping is already done for me! I just leave them in my hotel room and don't have to worry about carrying around a bunch of stuff in the parks. Of course, I may see some things throughout my trip that I want, but carrying around something little here and there in my park bag isn't very cumbersome to me. Also, if you decide later on in your trip that something you purchased at a Disney-owned merchandise location at the beginning of your trip isn't really what you wanted, as long as it hasn't been used and still has the tags, you can usually return the item to most Disney-owned merchandise locations around the resort with the original receipt (some exceptions apply)!
Another solution is to
rent a locker at the parks to store any bulky items that you may not want to carry around. This way, you can make your purchases when the mood strikes you, drop them off at your locker, and just grab them on the way out of the park!
Rena, stay tuned to
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements related to the possibility of the return of this service. If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out to us again.
Happiness is the richest thing we will ever own,
