is there a way to send my kids their tickets from my phone/disney app to their phones/disney app?

    Hi Gretchen,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking such an important question as your exciting Walt Disney World Resort vacation quickly approaches. I’m happy to help you understand how you and your children can access their valuable vacation entitlements through digital tools.

In this whole new world of Disney vacation planning, our tickets and other vacation plans are typically kept within your My Disney Experience account (seen both on a computer and in your mobile app). Please know your children must be 13 years old to have their own Disney account. From there, you can access the magic in several ways including a smartphone, MagicBand or MagicBand+, physical ticket, and smartwatch. No matter your access method, it all connects back to your personal hub of My Disney Experience where the vacation entitlements sit.

If everyone in your family has their own Disney account and My Disney Experience App installed on their own mobile device:

    •  Log into your My Disney Experience account on a computer, and navigate to Family & Friends
    • Add others in your family to this list, and invite them to connect
    • Determine if you will manage your children's plans or if they will manage their own plans (I highly recommend you manage their plans unless they are older teenagers exploring the theme parks on their own)
    • Assign each ticket in your vacation plans to a family member
    • Once each family member accepts your invitation to connect, they should see the theme park ticket assigned to them in their own account

If your children have a device but are not yet 13 years old, you can still share the ticket with them for scanning on their own throughout a fun theme park day together using Disney MagicMobile Service:

    • Once you have everyone added as Family & Friends, open the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device
    • Select the three lines main menu (≡) and then select the Disney MagicMobile tile
    • Design a pass for each member of your family matching their own style or personality
    • Tap the button that reads “Select Passes to Share”
    • Select the passes for your children
    • Send the pass to them via Messages
    • Once received, they can add the MagicMobile Pass to their digital wallet
My son was able to do this on his Apple Watch by receiving the pass from me, though he is only 12 and does not have a full Disney Account or smartphone yet. When you arrive at the theme parks or your Disney Resort Collection hotel, you may also speak with a Cast Member to receive a physical Key to the World Card which can be scanned in lieu of a digital ticket. Sometimes the low-tech way is easier, especially when traveling with children. Please ask at the front desk of your resort or visit Guest Relations at any of the four theme parks. Once inside, don’t hesitate to stop by the Guest Experience Team – find them under the blue umbrellas for help with any Disney tech, tickets, Genie+, or even lost and found needs.

Please let us know if you have any more questions as you finalize packing and get ready for your adventure!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
