Hiya Cindy and welcome to planDisney!
Be sure to pack your tissues because watching these children that you love so much experiencing
The Most Magical Place on Earth for the first time during the
50th Anniversary Celebration is sure to bring a tear to your eye. I still cry when I look back on the photos of my goddaughter's first trip. Giving the littles a taste of the magic to get them hyped up is a great idea! Although Disney no longer sends that kind of tangible material, there are still a ton of ways to prep them before you go.
1. Check out YouTube. A quick search will give you tons of videos about
what to eat,
what to do, and
where to go. I even found some great point-of-view-style videos to see how my goddaughter would feel about roller coasters. She loved the video of The Barnstormer in
Magic Kingdom Park and wasn't afraid in the slightest when it was time to ride the real thing.
2.
Disney+ has a plethora of great shows aimed at the Disney Parks. In my house, we love The Imagineering Story and Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom. I actually was really excited to try to find the specific animals we met on the show while visiting
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and
EPCOT. And don't forget Behind the Attraction which takes you into the making of some of our favorite classic rides.
Cindy, grandparents are one of the best gifts we're given in this life. It's so wonderful that you're giving your grandchildren even more magic.
Come back and chat with me about Halloween at Walt Disney World since that's my favorite time to go!
Happy planning!
Taylor
