Do they still send you anything in the mail after you book your vacation? I know a lot of things have changed no more paper map, magic bands, or fast passes. I was wondering if I should expect anything to come with my trip approaching.

    Hey there, Jennifer!

Thanks for visiting planDisney! It's exciting to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up. I can imagine you're counting down the days until you arrive.

I don't know the specifics of all that's included in the vacation package you booked, and so I hesitate to speak with certainty on what you might or might not be receiving. What I can share is that there are some really fun and useful resources available to you that can help you plan as your trip approaches.

My first suggestion is to download (and maybe even print) the guide maps to the theme parks. One way to get that "I'm at Disney" skip in your step is to open a theme park map and take in that big feeling of all the magic that awaits you. You can find the guide maps online at these links: Magic Kingdom Guide MapEPCOT Guide MapDisney's Hollywood Studios Guide MapDisney's Animal Kingdom Guide MapStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (online map).

My next suggestion is to download the My Disney Experience mobile app if you haven't already done so. You'll find it's packed with features that can make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation easier to manage, including your plans and daily itinerary, mobile food ordering, and the new Disney MagicMobile service. The app also highlights the daily park hours and the interactive maps that will be helpful as you plan your days in the theme parks.

Since it looks like you'll be visiting during the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you'll want to take a sneak peek at all the Outdoor Kitchensentertainment, and Festival displays that you can enjoy.

I also encourage you to check out the Know Before You Go information so that you're all in-the-know as you get ready to experience all the magic.

Jennifer, one more quick tip I'd like to share: be sure to make your Disney Park Pass system theme park reservations for the days you want to visit and play in the theme parks.

Here's wishing you a wonderful stay at Walt Disney World Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
