Hi there, Rebecca!
You strike me as a person like our friend Olaf, who loves warm hugs. Now, during the chilly season at the
Disneyland Resort the hot and the cold are just so intense, put ‘em together and it just makes sense!
Personally, I have always found the
baked potato soup at
Carnation Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A. to feel as comforting as a warm hug from Olaf.
I have a good friend who has been celebrating her February birthday with the
toasted cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup combo at the
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe ever since we were in elementary school.
Now Rebecca, if Princess Tiana were here, she’d tell you that the menu at
Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square always has
a piping hot bread bowl full of either steak or vegetable gumbo in a big chewy sourdough bowl. They also have a clam chowder here.
If you find yourself wanting at
Disney California Adventure wanting
soup in a sourdough bread bowl, head over to the
Pacific Wharf Café, they usually have seasonal offerings on their menu too! So keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news on holiday eats. I can already see that the
Lunar New Year menu mentions a special maitake mushroom soup, a red bean sweet soup, and a braised fresh crab claw with shrimp mousse in supreme soup at the Crystal Lotus. What a treat!
But Rebecca, if you’re stressed, it’s fine dining I’d suggest! The
Blue Bayou Restaurant has always been a quiet, elegant place to order a hearty bowl of chicken gumbo. And if you’re on the go,
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Express in the
Downtown Disney District is your speediest option.
Oh Rebecca, you’ve made me so excited to visit the resort on a crisp evening, relaxing in the winter sun just lettin’ off steam. I can’t wait to hear about which one you’ll choose! Come on back and
let me know if you have any other questions about how to enjoy the coziest time at the resort!
Warmest wishes,
Danielle
