Are selfie sticks permitted on the Disney cruise?

    Ahoy Marimar –

We are excited to see you back again with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for asking a great question because as you know, selfie sticks are banned at Walt Disney World and many other theme parks for safety reasons.  When I was on the Disney Dream last month, I did see a family using a selfie stick and I was worried that someone would confiscate it. I found out today from my friends at Disney Cruise Line that selfie sticks are allowed on all of the cruise ships. I was told that unsafe behavior with the selfie sticks will not be tolerated, and guests who are planning to use them on Port Adventures would need to check with tour operators to find out if they are allowed. So Marimar, it looks like your pirate crew can pose and smile for your big cruise! Come back and see us anytime if you need help.
