Hey there, Lisa! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney with your question. I bet you’re super excited to be immersed in the magic this week!
Lisa, in looking at the list of
items not allowed in the parks, a selfie stick is one of them. However, the
Disneyland Resort website also says “Folding tripod stands or monopod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted.” I would encourage you to look at the
permitted items information before your arrival.
If you love to take photos as much as I do, I wanted to mention that with
Disney Genie+, you get complimentary access to
Disney PhotoPass for the day! This is a huge perk for me and my family. We stop at the various PhotoPass locations to get our picture taken, including asking the
Disney PhotoPass Photographers for Magic Shots (special effects or characters they can add to the photos.) PhotoPass also includes the fun candids taken on attractions, such as Space Mountain. It’s a great deal to have these unlimited digital downloads to commemorate your trip. My girls and I love flipping through these photos on our phones months later – it makes us giggle to relive the entertaining, cherished moments together.
Wishing you a magical trip, Lisa!
