Can I use a selfie stick at a Disney Hotel? I know its banned from the parks.

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel - I'm happy to help answer your question.

Walt Disney World Resort is not only home to four amazing theme parks, but also over 25 beautifully-themed resort hotels. From the "step-into-the-movies" courtyards of Disney's Art of Animation Resort to the South Pacific oasis of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, there are certainly plenty of photo opportunities throughout the Walt Disney World Resort property!

While it's true that selfie sticks are not allowed in Walt Disney World's theme parks, due to the danger of guests using them on rides and attractions, there is currently not a ban on selfie sticks at any of the resort hotels. You are welcome to use them to get that "perfect shot" of your traveling party, with the amazing architecture and landscaping of the Walt Disney World resort hotels as your backdrop. You should be able to use your photo equipment in the resorts as long as it's used responsibly and not interfering with other guests.

I hope this helps with your planning and packing for an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
