We were selected to test the Magic Bands. We were planning on adding our park tickets when we arrive. Will the front desk be able to add our passes when we check-in or do we have to purchase our park passes in advance so we can link them in advance?

    Hi there, Cyndi!

Congratulations on being selected to participate in the MagicBand testing going on at the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family experienced MagicBand testing last month during our vacation and in order to make our FastPass+ reservations, we needed to have Park tickets linked to our My Disney Experience account. For example, 2 of us had our passes expiring 3 days into our vacation and we weren't able to make FastPass+ selections for the last days of our vacation until the passes were renewed.

You can definitely wait until you arrive at your Resort hotel to purchase your Park tickets if you'd like to. The Concierge will be able to help with linking your tickets to your My Disney Experience. The only issue I can see with that is that you won't be able to schedule your FastPass+ selections ahead of time. If you want to schedule those, I'd recommend purchasing your tickets online so you'll be able to utilize the MyMagic+ system to the full capacity as it is currently.

Please keep in mind that everything is still in the testing phases and things are changing almost daily. It sure is fun to be part of testing the magic!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question, Cyndi! Let us know if we can help with anything else as you plan the rest of your trip!

Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation!
